Welcome to Casa Leone, a special place where history, hospitality, and the charm of Sardinia come together.
Our holiday home was born in June 2019 from a careful restoration of a townhouse built in 1864, right in the heart of Buggerru, on the southwest coast of Sardinia.
Within these walls, our father Antonio—known to everyone as “Nino”—spent his childhood in the 1940s. This project is dedicated to him and to our great-great-grandfather Antonio Leone, originally from Carloforte, who moved to Buggerru to oversee the construction of the warehouses and docks for the “bilancelle”, traditional boats once used to transport minerals from the local mines.
Today, Casa Leone offers five holiday apartments in Buggerru, each carefully furnished and equipped with every modern comfort, while preserving the warmth and atmosphere of its origins.
Four apartments—Mirto, Elicriso, Ginepro, and Ginestra—are located in the historic residence at Via Roma 173/175, while the newest, Corbezzolo, is just a few meters away in the dependance at Via Roma 256.
We have lovingly restored family furniture and original objects, combining them with bright, functional spaces.
The result? The perfect balance between authentic Sardinian character and contemporary comfort.

Each apartment is independent, air-conditioned, and features:
private bathroom with a spacious shower
fully equipped kitchen: dishwasher, oven, induction hob, coffee machine, toaster, kettle
flat-screen TV, washing machine, professional hairdryer, iron
on request, free of charge: crib, bed rail, high chair
The shared terrace areas are surrounded by caper plants, lemon trees, and prickly pears, creating a unique atmosphere for relaxation, illuminated at night by soft LED lights.
For extra well-being, you can book our Jacuzzi hot tub with chromotherapy (available for a fee)
Casa Leone is also the result of collaboration with local artisans and professionals, who have given new life to the structure while preserving its soul.
Special thanks to:
Antonello Caravana, craftsman of Buggerru, for the restoration of our family’s old furniture
Angelo Spissu, master blacksmith, for the skillful recovery of original wrought iron elements
The beautiful original tiles, repurposed to embellish some bathrooms and the main entrance
The local construction company from Fluminimaggiore, led by Geom. Mauro Zanda, for their meticulous work
Alessandro Cocolone, electrician and lighting expert, for enhancing every space with patience and precision
Without them, Casa Leone wouldn’t have the light, warmth, and unique identity it enjoys today.
